Fig-licious!
Last Saturday at the Farmer’s Market, Renee had the most delicious figs and I could not resist buying a pound to munch on.

We ate a bunch of them right that moment, but that night I decided to spruce them up a bit!
Baked Figs
• Figs
• Goat cheese
• EVOO
• Honey
Cut figs in half, apply goat cheese, sprinkle a little EVOO on top, bake at 350 for about 10 minutes. Remove from oven and drizzle with honey. (We added a sprinkle of cayenne pepper at the end, which was really good!)
I could have made them more photogenic, but we were ready to dive in and I could not be bothered to apply the goat cheese in a more photogenic manner!
On the other hand, don’t you think Shane makes an excellent hand model?!
Looks delicious!
Hey Marla! We went to watch the Blue Angels today – they were awesome! Then once we got over the harbor bridge, it took over an hour to get back to the house because the entire town of Destin was trying to go shopping at the outlet mall! I was pretty psychotic after that traffic! We are going to explore (i.e. look at neighborhoods and other fun stuff) tomorrow since it is supposed to rain again. I would like to go hiking around the parks at some point. I know you’re swamped with work, but let me know if you have time for a cup of coffee or something:) – Shelly May
